As the Detroit Red Wings (4-2-0) continue to roll through the competition including two western conference powerhouses this past weekend, they’ll look to build off of their momentum and earn themselves another two points against a Carolina Hurricanes team that is struggling out of the gate with a 1-2-2 record.

With Thomas Vanek, Gustav Nyquist and Mike Green leading the way for the Red Wings with three goals and seven points each, head coach Jeff Blashill’s experimental tinkering with the lineup and forward lines seems to be paying dividends.

Thus, expect the combination of Andreas Athanasiou, Darren Helm and Thomas Vanek to remain together while Nyquist, Frans Nielsen and Dylan Larkin feature on the first line. Captain Henrik Zetterberg will be in between Tomas Tatar and Riley Sheahan, as Steve Ott remains in the lineup next to Luke Glendening and Drew Miller.
