Breaking: Blackhawks may be working on a huge trade.

We have a massive trade rumor involving the Chicago Blackhawks.

A report from Steven Albritton of KMBC News is now claiming that via a "very good source" KMBC news has been informed that the Chicago Blackhawks are attempting to make a home run trade by acquiring Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Duchene.

Needless to say the addition of a versatile player like Duchene to an already stacked group of forwards would be a dream scenario for the Blackhawks, but it won't be an easy move to make.

Duchene carries a 6 million dollar cap hit and that would require Chicago moving some significant salary off the books, how they could make that happen is anyone's guess at this point. That goes without also factoring in the tremendous cost that the Avalanche will be asking for in return in order to let go of a young talent with term left of his contract.

This could be a blockbuster deal.
