Breaking: Coach believes his defenseman suffered a season ending injury tonight.
This is very bad.

You know it's a bad sign when the head coach is hinting that the injury might be season ending immediately following the game.
It appears the Dallas Stars may have lost a big part of their blue line for the remainder of the season after defenseman Jason Demers took an awkward fall into the boards after being pushed, resulting in what appears to have been some sort of upper-body injury.
It was Montreal Canadiens forward Lucas Lessio who gave Demers the shove, although it's highly unlikely he expected Demers to be so badly injury on the play. We don't know the severity of the injury just yet, no official report has come out of Dallas thus far, but Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News has reported that head coach Lindy Ruff has indicated this could be season ending.
Demers has been very good for Dallas this year with a plus minus of 17 and 23 points on the season.

Lindy Ruff said Demers will be out a good period of time, maybe rest of regular season.
