The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety is already under fire for a decision announced just moments ago.

Player Safety announced on Thursday that after concluding their hearing with Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand, they have determined that his trip on Red Wings veteran defenseman Niklas Kronwall did not warrant a suspension. While Marchand will avoid missing game time, he has been fined a hefty $10,000 for the infraction.

Fans in Boston will likely be very happy with the decision, however there are a great many who are chastising NHL Player Safety for letting a repeat offender get off so leniently.
