Breaking: Controversy surrounding Subban's return to Montreal tonight has already started.

P.K. Subban is headed back the Bell Centre where he will play tonight for the first time since being traded to the Nashville Predators and there is already controversy surround his return.

While there has been no official confirmation Sportsnet insider John Shannon is now reporting that the tribute video for Subban this evening has been moved to the pre-game and will not be broadcast during the game.

It seems like an extremely petty and classless move from an organization that already came under heavy fire last summer for trading Subban and, while this is just my personal opinion, I wouldn't be shocked to learn that the bruised egos of those who orchestrated the move may have played a role here.

The overall reaction to this announcement has thus far been overwhelmingly negative, and it will be interesting to watch and see how the fans in attendance and the Bell Centre react to Subban in his big return to the Montreal ice.
