Breaking: Crucial update on former NHLer who suffered a heart attack on Friday night

We reported yesterday night the tragic incident that involved former National Hockey League player turned Tulsa Oilers head coach Rob Murray, who collapsed during the Oilers' game against the Quad City Mallards.

The team's play by play voice and Vice President of Communications, John Peterson, wais in the ambulance with coach Murray, and has given us crucial updated concerning the health of the former NHLer via his Twitter account:

Update on Coach Murray: He's doing well. The doctors have told me he's suffering from dehydration and exhaustion. They said there's no concern right now. Tests are coming back. I will continue to update. Thank you for all the thoughts, prayers and positive vibes.

Last update of the night: Coach Murray is in good spirits (he's a fighter, after all). We are staying overnight in the Quad Cities for precautionary reasons. Plan is to be released in the morning.

Morning update: Coach Murray is looking a lot better and is very appreciative of the overwhelming support from the entire hockey community. Still having some routine tests done, and hopeful he'll be released later today from the hospital.

Wow. Great news.

Peterson also added in a separate tweet that the plan is for assistant coach Zac Desjardins to take over the team for tonight's game against the Indy Fuel. After that, the situation will be reevaluated, depending on coach Murray's health.
