There's some strange reports around one National Hockey League defenseman.

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tyler Myers hasn't played since suffering a major injury back in November of 2016, but despite that he has remained in and around the team. On Wednesday that seemingly all changed.

Head coach Paul Maurice indicated that Myers would be leaving the team for an undisclosed reason this despite still being in the middle of his rehab from the aforementioned injury.

“Tyler came with us on the road to Florida and had to leave on a personal family matter with the full blessing of the Winnipeg Jets and he’s still dealing with that now,” said Maurice as per Sportsnet.

Myers has already missed over 30 games this season, and with this latest development there's no telling how long he could remain out.
