A NHL team is a huge organization to manage, with so many moving parts at once. Fans focus on the superstars, but a NHL franchise is deep and counts hundreds of players under manage.
Today, the Ducks signed a contract extension with a big winger who shows some flashes of promise named Nic Kerdiles.
Kerdiles only played one game in the NHL so far, but he still has the size to make it in the long run. A former second rounder in 2012, he's known for his physical play more than his hands, but the Ducks have a constant need for grittiness in their lineup. With some work, Kerdiles might have a crack at the lineup at some point, his two-ways contract being the key here.
