Breaking: Early reports of a major injury to Flames star Johnny Gaudreau.

There are initial reports of a very serious injury to the Flames superstar.

According to an early report from National Hockey League analyst Aaron Ward, there were legtimate concerns of a broken finger for Johnny Gaudreau and now we have confirmation of that fact.

Sportsnet insider John Shannon is now reporting that not only is the finger broken, but furthermore Gaudreau is already scheduled for surgery, indicating that he is likely to miss significant time as a result of the injury.

This is a disaster for the Flames who are already struggling this season, and a terrible start to the massive deal the Flames gave Gaudreau in the offseason.
