According to a report from Ottawa Senators insider Murray Pam, the team has placed goaltender Andrew Hammond on waivers.
The 29-year-old goaltender was a revelation when he joined the Senators in 2014, putting up a remarkable 1.79 GAA and .941 Sv% in 24 games during the team’s magical playoff push. Since then however… results have been mixed. Last season, Hammond was particularly bad putting up a 4.08 GAA and .837 Sv% in just six games.
Evidently Sens GM Pierre Dorion attempted to move Hammond via trade, but was unable to find any interested parties. Could this spell the end of the Hamburgler?
