The Calgary Flames have their back against the wall down 0-3 in the first round Stanley Cup playoff match up against the Anaheim Ducks, and as a result many expected some big changes to the roster.
One of the changes that was hinted at by head coach Glen Gulutzan on Tuesday was a possible goaltending change. While Gulutzan himself never stated he would make a change, his refusal to committ to a starter appeared to indicate that a change was in fact likely.
With that in mind, Gulutzan stunned many fans and pundits alike when he announced to today that he would be sticking with Brian Elliott in Game 4. With Elliott set to be a free agent this summer and with him having failed to win any of the first three games, there will be many who question this decision from Gulutzan, especially if the Flames end up getting swept out of the series.
