Matt Read, winger for the Philadephia Flyers is officially out for the remainder of the season. GM Ron Hextall, has established that Read will be out for a total of 6-8 weeks with an upper-body injury. Though not confirmed, it looks like it could be an arm injury, as Read was last seen on the ice blocking a Nick Leddy shot.

This season Matt Read spent most of his time on the top line with Giroux and Voracek. He acquired a total of 19 points (10 goals, 9 assists). With the playoffs nearly out of reach for the Flyers, the team will have to win the remainder of their games without Matt Read in their projected lines.
