New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh is ready to return for Friday night’s Garden match against the Carolina Hurricanes after a four-game absence because of an abdominal strain.
McDonagh practiced next to Nick Holden, with Steven Kampfer occasionally rotating in, confirming Kampfer is going to be a healthy scratch for tonight's titl.
“Looked great [Wednesday], looked even better [Thursday]. He was feeling the best he’s felt in a long time. Hopefully it continues," said head coach Alain Vigneault.
In the 21 games he partook in before his injury, McDonagh recorded 12 assists.
