The Montreal Canadiens made a trade on Thursday morning, swapping centre Peter Holland to the New York Rangers in return for forward Adam Cracknell.
Cracknell will report to the Laval Rocket.
He has amassed two goals and three points and a minus-5 differential to go with six penalty minutes in 15 games played with the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League.
The 32-year-old right winger has also played four games with the Rangers this season, but was held pointless in those outings.
As for Holland, the veteran forward has picked up eight goals and 10 assists in 20 AHL games with the Rocket this season. He signed with the Canadiens this summer as an unrestricted free agent.
