Chicago Blackhawks forward Ryan Hartman will have to take money out of his wallet.
The 23-year-old has been fined $2,320.79, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for slashing Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb.
During the second period, McNabb laid out Nick Schmaltz, which caused Hartman to go after the blue liner, but the Hawks forward was given a double-minor.
The Knights went on to win 4-2 over the Blackhawks.
