It looks like the injury sustained by Edmonton Oilers forward Tobias Rieder in Tuesday night’s 6-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens will keep him out of action for at least a week.
Rieder is likely to miss this weekend’s games against the Calgary Flames and Vegas Golden Knights, as a result the Oilers have called up forward Patrick Russell from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors.
Check it out:
The Oilers have recalled forward Patrick Russell from the @Condors. The 25-year-old from Denmark has scored 4 goals & 5 assists in 11 games this season with Bakersfield.
The 25 year old Russell has four goals and nine points in 11 games with Bakersfield already this season, following a 27 point campaign from a year ago. The Danish winger is taking big steps in his development this season and it’ll be interesting to see how he fares in his first taste of NHL action.
