According to a report from TVA’s Renaud Lavoie, rookie Charlie Lindgren will get the start tonight for the Montreal Canadiens as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights. Lindgren is coming off his first career NHL win, a shutout victory, over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday evening.

Who saw this coming? The 23-year-old Lindgren has seemingly come out of nowhere to seize the Habs starting role, at least temporarily, while superstar Carey Price is out with a knee injury.

The native of Lakeville, Minnesota native has played nine games with the AHL Laval Rocket this season and hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire. His 3.53 GAA and .885 Sv% leave a lot to be desired, but the kid is making the most of his opportunity in Montreal. Go get ‘em, Charlie!
