Breaking: Karlsson addresses contract controversy with Sens

Ottawa Senators superstar Erik Karlsson had the city of Ottawa on pins and needles late last week when he finally opened up to reporters about his pending free-agent negotiations slated to take place in the summer of 2018.

“When I go to market, I’m going to get what I’m worth, and it’s going to be no less, no matter where I’m going,” the Sens captain told the Ottawa Sun. That alone was enough to incite and ignite the team’s fanbase who are deadly scared of losing the greatest player in team history. Well… take a deep breath, Sens fans. Karlsson clarified his comments with a Swedish magazine and indicated that his priority is to re-sign in Ottawa.
