Breaking: McKenzie predicts Las Vegas will choose from one of two names.

Yesterday we reported on comments from David Staples of the Edmonton Journal that demonstrated he was supremely confident the Las Vegas franchise would choose the name "Desert Knights" for it's new franchise, but now we have a conflicting report.

One of the National Hockey League's top insiders, TSN's Bob McKenzie, was a guest on tSN 1040 radio this morning where he stated his belief that it was down to just two names, and neither of the was the aforementioned Desert Knights.

While McKenzie believes that the "Knights" will remain in the name, something that has long been rumored as a must-have for owner Bill Foley, it will come down to a preference in color.

 "It's either going to be Silver Knights or Golden Knights," said McKenzie.

While McKenzie wouldn't put a guarantee on it, he did state that he was "reasonably confident" that it will be one of the two that is chosen. It appears that at least one of these two men will be wrong.
