According to a report from Vancouver Canucks play-by-play announcer Brendan Batchelor, the team will be without the services of center Brandon Sutter for the rest of its road trip.

The 28-year-old center was out of the Canucks lineup yesterday against the New York Rangers after being banged up earlier in the week against the New Jersey Devils. No word yet on the extent of his injury, but he’s been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the New York Islanders and Thursday’s game against the Nashville Predators.

In 23 games this season, Sutter has just two goals and six points, mostly playing a third line checking role.
