A 26-year old defenseman is reportedly drawing heavy interest from several teams in the National Hockey League.
TSN insider Darren Dreger is now reporting that multiple NHL teams have already made offers to Jan Rutta, a Czech defenseman who has spent the last four season of his professional career with Chomutov Pirati of the Czech league.
It's no surprise that Rutta is drawing interest, he has show an ability to put up points on the score sheet with 8 goals and 24 assists in his most recent season which spanned just 46 games.
Rutta is also a right-handed shot, a position of need for a great many NHL teams, and that is likely also a huge motivating factor behind these offers from NHL teams.
Thus far Dreger has only confirmed that the Oilers are believed to be in the mix.
