Breaking: NHL captain willing to have his no trade for 5-6 teams.

Despite the fact that at 40 years old he is still playing in the National Hockey League Shane Doan has never played for an organization other than the one that drafted him, but that may all be about to change.

A report from The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta is now claiming that Doan has agreed to waive his no-movement-clause for somewhere in the range of 5-6 NHL teams, although at this time the identity of those teams remains unknown.

Pagnotta also added that Doan's two preferred destinations appear to be in the Eastern Conference, although once again we could only speculate as to the identity of either of those teams.

Despite limited ice time, due to the focus on a youth movement in Arizona, Doan has still put some offensive numbers this season recording 5 goals and 15 assists over 62 games, and he brings a wealth of experience to the table. We wouldn't be surprised to see a contender add him for bottom six depth before the deadline if he is indeed willing to waive his no-movement-clause for the right team.
