An option for teams looking for some toughness.

A veteran National Hockey League enforcer is headed to the waiver wire.
ESPN insider Pierre LeBrun has reported that the Pittsburgh Penguins have made the decision to place 20-year-old Steve Oleksy on waivers after using him in just 9 games this season.
An undrafted defenseman Oleksy broke into the NHL with the Washington Capitals in the 2012-2013 season and has bounced around between the American Hockey League and the NHL since that time. Olesky made his name as a tough fighter with the Capitals AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears, and it's that grit that has earned him time in the NHL.

It's clear what he brings to the table so any teams claiming him would likely be those that feel their line ups are in need of a little more toughness.
