Breaking: NHL forward involved in domestic abuse arrest.

It appears one National Hockey League player was the victim of a domestic abuse incident over the week-end.

French language publication La Presse is reporting that Chanel Leszczynski, girlfriend of Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk, was arrested in the early hours of Sunday after she showed up at his apartment.

While Galchenyuk himself did not wish to press charges, like in many cases of domestic abuse these days, the decision is taken out of the hands of the spouse, and prosecutors will now determine whether or not they will move forward with the charges. No details of the assault were released to the public, but this measure would indicate that Galchenyuk is in fact the victim in this case.

As of right now there has been almost no comment from anyone on this story, but we expect more details to emerge shortly, after all it is Montreal and the media will be all over this story.
