Breaking: NHL GM absolutely destroys coveted UFA

Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin held a press conference about an hour ago to comment on Carey Price's eight-year, $84 million contract extension. He also opened up about this year's free agent frenzy, and had some pretty harsh words about Russian forward Alexander Radulov.

Bergevin did not mince his words when he was asked about the negotiation process with the 30-year-old:

"Look. Remember last year, when nobody, nobody wanted to step up and offer a contract to Radulov. The Montreal Canadiens did. If you want loyalty, buy a dog. I don't get upset, I wish it was the case [that he would be loyal]. I respect the fact that he's a UFA and he wants to test the market. I wish he would be loyal,but I don't hold any grudges."

That was certainly unexpected from the Habs' general manager, who still has hopes to sign Radu for a couple of years. However, Bergevin believes the Russian's demands are completely absurd, and that he will never be back with the Canadiens if he does not adjust them.
