The National Hockey League Department of Player Safety was busy again on Friday when it had to take a look at another illegal hit to the head, which took place last night in the contest between the Arizona Coyotes and the Nashville Predators.

In the second period of the game, Coyotes forward Josh Archibald delivered an illegal check to the head of the Predators' Josh Hartman with 1:41 left in the period. Hartman was bleeding and had to leave the ice. And of course the hit is deserving of supplemental discipline from NHL Department of Player Safety.

The Department of Player Safety has just announced that Archibald has been suspended two games for an illegal check to the head of Hartman.

You can see the brutal hit to the head of Hartman in the video above, atop of this article.

Archibald received a two-minute minor for an illegal check to the head. Hartman returned to the bench in the third period, but was definitely shaken up on the play. Predators head coach Peter Laviolette was seen angry behind the bench, yelling at the referees that Archibald should have spent more time in the sin bin for his actions.

The Preds head coach will at least be happy to hear that the league took another look at the brutal hit to the head of his player and has suspended Archibald for his reckless actions.
