The National Hockey League has revealed the 3 finalists for the Vezina Trophy.

According to an official announcement from the National Hockey League the 3 goaltenders who remain in contention for the award are the Tampa Bay Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy, the Dallas Stars' Ben Bishop and, perhaps the biggest surprise due to the number of games he played, the New York Islanders' Robin Lehner. There is no doubt that given the sheer number of goaltenders who had strong performances for their teams this season there will be a ton of discussion and a ton of controversy regarding the final 3 nominees and the goaltenders who were potentially snubbed for the nomination.

Other contenders for the award could have included Arizona's Darcy Kuemper, St. Louis Blues breakout star Jordan Binnington(although he did play in very few games), and Toronto's Frederik Andersen who had a terrific season before faltering considerably in the final month of the campaign.

Do you agree with the choices made by the National Hockey League's general managers? Who gets your vote for this year's Vezina trophy?
