Breaking: NHL suspends Bertuzzi for unsportsmanlike conduct

NHL Player Safety has suspended Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi for two games for his effectively sucker punching Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Calvert from the bench.

In case you missed it, Calvert attempted to retrieve his stick from the Red Wings bench after taking a big hit, but was met by a big fist from Bertuzzi.

The 23 year old Bertuzzi, nephew of former NHLer Todd Bertuzzi, will now sit for two games for his role in the above nonsense. The young power forward has nine goals and 16 points in 27 games with the Red Wings this season.
