Breaking: NHL veteran has reportedly just left his team in the middle of the playoffs.

There are stunning reports suggesting a National Hockey League defenseman has just left his team in the middle of the playoffs.

According to a breaking news report from Helen Elliott of the Los Angeles times, veteran Anaheim Ducks defenseman Korbinian Holzer has reportedly left the team and has returned home to Germany for "personal reasons."

When you hear that a player like Holzer has left in the middle of the playoffs obviously there is grave concern for both him and his family. While we hope that the situation here is not serious, when you take into account that the Ducks are fighting to regain footing in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Edmonton Oilers, we're sure Holzer wouldn't leave for something minor either.
