Some bad news report tonight.

There's been a very scary moment in the National Hockey League this evening with Detroit Red Wings forward Ben Street suffering a horrifying injury.

According to a report from Sportsnet John Shannon the 29 year old forward was injured when he was struck by a skate blade to his face and neck area during the second period on Friday night. His injury is believed to be just bellow the ear and he is currently listed in stable condition.

We don't have any further details at this time but obviously we are hoping Street will make a full recovery. We will update this story if we hear anything new.
