Breaking: Pens announce AHL demotion and call-up

Did they make the right call?

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that they've sent down Frank Corrado to the AHL and replaced him with Kevin Czuczman.

Corrado had been called up on December 7th, but never got any game action. The former Toronto Maple Leafs' player was unlikely to play tonight against his former team anyway, but this proves to be an unusual move nonetheless.

Corrado has played in 3 games this season, while Czuczman hasn't seen a single game in a Penguins uniform. In fact, his last NHL game occurred during the 2013-14 season with the New York Islanders.
