The trade talk around the National Hockey League is gaining some serious momentum and with a trade already having been made between the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers this evening, there may be more to come.

Montreal Canadiens reporter Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette is reporting that a large scouting presence has been spotted at the game between the Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets this evening. Considering both of these teams have reportedly been heavily pursuing a forward on the trade market, the names on the list are very interesting indeed.

According to Cowan the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Islanders, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, and New York Rangers all have at least one scout on hand tonight at the game.

It's impossible to gauge what potential trade has brought so much focus onto this game, but it seems like it won't be long before another deal is done in the National Hockey League.
