BREAKING : Sabres' star gets leadership role in World Championship!

The World Championship of Hockey is set to begin on Friday and the national teams are pretty much set in stone by now. Since a good part of the skilled players are part of the NHL, a little waiting time was needed to see who would still be playing and who would not. 

Today was the right time to name the team leaders and Team Canada elected Ryan O'Reilly as an alternate captain. 

This is no foreign ground for O'Reilly, as he's already an alternate in Buffalo. However, leading such a star filled team is not an average experience and he might gets the most out of it. 

Team Canada has good chances to win the tournament, so Ryan O'Reilly could come back to Buffalo with a big and shiny medal around his neck soon!
