Player gets a hearing after one of the most vicious hits of the Stanley Cup Playoffs

Matt Calvert delivered a high cross-check to Penguins forward Tom Kuhnhackl. He literally broke his stick on his opponent.

That kind of cross-check is fairly frequent but the puck was not even close from being close to Kuhnhackl. It was a clear frustration/revenge move.

TSN insider Pierre LeBrun announces the Columbus Blue Jackets forward Matt Calvert is expected to avoid a suspension and be fined for his crosscheck on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tom Kühnhackl.

Pierre LeBrun specified that things could change but so far, no suspension is expected. Stay tune as we will give you updates in real time as soon as we have some.
