The St. Louis Blues have taken the lead in the Stanley Cup Final and now need just one more victory before they can call themselves the 2019 Stanley Cup Champions. That of course will be a tough task as the Blues are facing off against a Boston Bruins team that has been there before, but there are some signs that the Blues are about to get a big boost in the Stanley Cup Final.

According to a breaking news report from the National Hockey League's Lou Korac it now appears that St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas may actually be set to finally make his return to the line up. Thomas of course has been sitting on the sidelines as a result of what many believe is a wrist injury, although the nature of his ailment has never officially been disclosed by the Blues. There were some rumblings that Thomas would require surgery to correct the problem, however his appearance on the ice today may have dispelled those rumors for now.

Korac reports that Thomas was skating on a regular line with the Blues on Saturday morning, something that Korac views as a "good indication" that he may return the Blues line up tomorrow. This is of course a major development ahead of Game 6, especially when you consider how much of a boost a player of Thomas' level could provide the Blues in what will be a championship game for their organization.

Now of course that in and of itself is purely peculation on the part of of Korac, however there is now a little bit more behind that initial report. At some point during the Blues practice on Saturday morning Craig Berube, the St. Louis Blues head coach, skated over to Thomas and had a brief conversation with the injured Blues forward. According to Korac that conversation all but confirmed that Thomas would in fact be on the ice for the blues in Game 6.

From Korac:

Berube just had a conversation with Thomas that accordingly would go something like this: "How do you feel?" ... "Good." ... "Good, you're in tomorrow."

This of course would be massive for the St. Louis Blues.
