Breaking: The worst is confirmed for Rielly!

The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed defenseman Morgan Rielly on the injured reserve, the team announced on Monday. Rielly missed the last two games with an upper-body injury. The Leafs are playing against the Colorado Avalanche tonight. Rielly won't be back before the all-star break.

In 47 games played this season, the 23-year old defenseman has five goals and 26 assists for a total of 31 points.

The Leafs also announced that they have called up defenseman Rinat Valiev from the Toronto Marlies (AHL). He has eight points in 29 games played with the Marlies this season.
