Two impact players back on the ice this morning.

After announcing yesterday that Kris Letang will not be able to help the team during the playoffs, the team had a better news for the fans this morning. Evgeni Malkin and Trevor Daley were back at practice.

Malkin and Daley were both traveling with the team to New Jersey and were on ice for the practice. Coach Sullivan is very optimistic about both of his players, without saying if they will play tonight’s game.

Malkin was having a great season with 72 points in 62 games this year. He is out since march 15th due to a shoulder injury. Daley is one of many D-man in Pittsburgh where out this year. Unavailable since February 21st, with a lower-body injury, the 33 y/o had an important role to play with Maatta and Schultz out.

The coach wanted them to play a game before the start of the playoff, but didn’t want to rush them. It would be great for the team to have the two veterans back in the lineup for the post season with the team still missing a few players.
