We have a trade to kick off the work week.
The Ottawa Senators and the New York Rangers have quietly put together a pretty big trade swapping forwards Derick Brassard and Mika Zibanejad, with the Rangers also picking up a late round draft pick in the exchange.
The official announcement from the Senators:
Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion announced today the club has acquired forward Derick Brassard and a seventh-round draft pick in 2018 from the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Mika Zibanejad and Ottawa’s second-round draft pick in 2018.
More to come.
