In case you missed it, the Boston Bruins announced earlier today that star forward David Pastrnak will be out of the team’s lineup for at least two weeks after he slipped and fell while out with teammates and injured his thumb.

There’s no definitive timeline for Pastrnak’s return, but suffice it to say that head coach Bruce Cassidy will be in tough to replace the sniper’s production in his lineup. General manager Don Sweeney has already gone on record saying that Pastrnak’s injury will NOT affect his strategy ahead of the NHL’s February 25th trade deadline. In other words… the cavalry ain’t coming, so it’ll be up to the players already in the room to step up and produce.

The Pastrnak-less B’s will be in action later today as they take on the surging Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden.

Here’s how the lines shaped up this morning and how they’re expected to line up this evening.
