As reported by the Maine Hockey Journal, during the warm up of the game between the Providence Bruins and Portland Pirates, goaltender Malcolm Subban received a shot from teammate Seth Griffith right in the throat.

Subban had a very difficult time getting to the bench on his own power before the medical staff helped him the rest of the way. He was then rushed to the hospital so more tests could be done. There aren't many other details that have been released yet. We will keep you up to date when more details are made available.
