The Boston Bruins got some more bad news on Thursday regarding the health of star forward Brad Marchand.

According to the Bruins official website, the notorious agitator has been placed on injured reserve by the team, which means that he will now be ineligible to return until Sunday the 19th of November.

Making matters worse for Boston, forward Anders Bjork has also been placed on injured reserve following his huge collision with Leafs bruiser Matt Martin, and like Marchand he also will be ineligible until Sunday.

Together the two men have already accounted for 24 points this season so it would be a big loss at the best of times, but with the Bruins already dealing with injuries to players like Ryan Spooner and David Backes this news is particularly devastating.

It also has to be noted that while the two men will be eligible to return on Sunday there is no guarantee that they will be healthy at that point, this could continue to be a problem for Boston past that date.
