It's official.
Cale Makar has learned his fate.
There were serious doubts about whether or not Makar would be available to play in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final after missing the first 2 games of the series due to injury, but after taking warm-ups ahead of Game 3 the Colorado Avalanche star defenseman has made his decision.
Makar will be playing in Game 3 after testing out his body during warmups, with Makar seemingly giving the Avalanche the green light based on their latest announcement. The Avalanche made that announcement in a rather creative fashion:
Earlier today head coach Jared Bednar refused to provide any clarity on whether or not Makar would play tonight and, judging by how Makar was testing himself in warmups, I now believe that there is a very good chance Bednar genuinely did not know whether or not Makar would be healthy enough to play.
There is no question that the Avalanche have felt Makar's absence through the first two games of the series, with the Avalanche falling into a deep 0-2 deficit in the Western Conference Final with Makar out of the lineup. Makar's return tonight will provide a huge boost to the Avalanche to be sure.
That being said the Golden Knights are getting a big boost of their own with a return from injury, so this should be a very exciting Game 3 tonight.
