Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed with the media today that forward Jared McCann is out of the lineup day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

McCann was absent at the Penguins’ practice this morning in advance of their game tomorrow against the Colorado Avalanche.

McCann joins Evgeny Malkin, Alex Galchenyuk, Patric Hornqvist, Nick Bjugstad and Bryan Rust on the team’s injury reserve. Ouch.
