You may recall the story of Cincinnati Cyclones forward Ben Johnson from this past December. The 24 year old Johnson, who was drafted 90th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, has a criminal past that came to light when he signed with the ECHL’s Cyclones, who are affiliated with the Buffalo Sabres, on December 7th.

Johnson was convicted in 2016 of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. Johnson served prison time and is a registered sex offender in Canada. He became eligible for parole in November and subsequently signed with the Cyclones in December.

Fans were not supportive of the news, but regardless Johnson has been a productive player for Cincinnati with seven goals and 19 points in 29 games. Now however, more alleged details of Johnson’s past have emerged and… well let’s just say things got a LOT weirder…

In a sprawling, rambling exchange on Twitter a fan named Ian Moone who claims to be Johnson’s cousin, put forth some pretty serious allegations.

Check it out:

Holy moly! Suffice it to say these are very serious allegations. So far though, neither the Cyclones or Sabres organizations have come forward with a response, despite mounting pressure from angry fans.
