Disaster strikes for MacKinnon and Avs just minutes into Game 7

Just minutes into tonight’s Game 7 action between the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks and the Avs have suffered a disastrous fate already.

At about the 17 minute mark superstar Nathan MacKinnon went HARD into the side boards and appeared to injure his right shoulder.

Take a look:

MacKinnon left the ice and went straight for the Avs locker room on the ensuing whistle. No update yet on his health. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Still no return after 10 minutes of play.

UPDATE: MacKinnon has returned with 5:30 left to play in the first period.
