EA Sports takes major heat over ridiculous NHL 21 ratings

EA Sports officially dropped the rankings for the top 10 defenseman in NHL 21 and... boy oh boy are they interesting.

The top 3 defensemen in the NHL according to EA Sports:

1. Victor Hedman - Yep. Sounds about right.
2. John Carlson - Okay. Wouldn't be my pick, but fair enough.
3. Drew Doughty - Wait... what year is it?

That's right... Drew Doughty the man who just had his worst NHL season in seven years is the 3rd best defenseman in the NHL. What?!

Okay... so Roman Yosi, who just won the Norris Trophy as the NHL's best defenceman is #3? Also... where the Hell is Miro Heiskanen? I love Erik Karlsson just as much as the next guy, but let's not pretend like he hasn't lost a step the past two seasons. Where is Shea Theodore? Seth Jones? Where's Cale Makar and Quinn Hughes? Dougie Hamilton? Thomas Chabot?

So much wrong with this list, but at the end of the day this is EA we're talking about so maybe I shouldn't be surprised...
