With points in each of their last nine home games, the Winnipeg Jets have become quite comfortable within the confines of Bell MTS Place. But tonight they’ll have to get out of their comfort zone a bit as they face a desperate team in the Colorado Avalanche.

The Avs are 0-5-3 in their last eight games and are four points back of the Minnesota Wild for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.

"There are world class players there, they've got lots of frustration," said Jets head coach Paul Maurice this morning. "All this is going to take is one period, one game, they catch fire. Then the pressure comes off them, the pressure they're dealing with, and now you have a problem because this is a real good team."

The Jets (36-18-3) will go with the same line-up that produced Tuesday night's 4-3 regulation win over the New York Rangers, including Connor Hellebuyck starting in goal:
