Evgeni Malkin facing the toughest challenge of his life off the ice.

Pittsburgh Penguin's star forward Evgeni Malkin can work magic on the ice, but now he is facing an off-ice challenge that will be the toughest challenge of his life.

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced this morning that Malkin and his fiancee Anna Kasterova welcomed a new baby boy into the world On May 31st, and according to the team the little boy's name is Nikita. In an amazing coincidence, little Nikita came into the world at 7 pounds and 1 ounce, a reflection of the number his father wears for the Penguins #71.

It will likely be an additional burden on the Penguins star during the Cup Final, but on the flip-side taking a 2-0 series lead and welcoming his baby boy to the world must have Malkin riding an incredible high right now.

The Penguins delayed the official announcement, and we delayed our report until Malkin made the announcement himself.
