Flyers in the middle of yet another goalie trade?!

A lot of movement in between the pipes in Philly, that's for sure!

The Philadelphia Flyers have seen more than one new goalie come through their dressing room, and one more was added to the list on Friday night when the Edmonton Oilers shipped Cam Talbot to Philly in return for another netminder, Anthony Stolarz.

Now it seems like they might be in the middle of yet another goalie trade, but this time it involves the San Jose Sharks.

Kevin Kurz of The Athletic wonders if it’s time for the Sharks to address their goaltending, seeing that they now have the worst even-strength save percentage at .896. On top of that, the Boston Bruins won 6-5 over the Sharks, which had a lot of people raising questions over the tandem of Martin Jones and Aaron Dell.

Kurz therefore wondered if the Sharks should make a move in between the pipes as the trade deadline near, possibly looking to land Philadelphia’s Brian Elliott.

Elliott had been mentioned in trade chatter when a deal with Edmonton was coming close, however, the Oilers ended up with Stolarz. There could be a chance that Elliott is moved and San Jose could be a destination. Kurz also wondered if Detroit Red Wings’ Jimmy Howard, a pending unrestricted free agent, could also be an option for the Sharks.

However, in the end, Kurz expects they’ll stick with Jones over the remainder of the season. There might be more goalie options on the market as we get closer to the deadline, so Sharks general manager Doug Wilson will surely keep an eye out on this if he wants his team to enjoy a longer playoff run this spring.
