Things are looking up for forward Ryan White. When the 29-year-old was looking for a second chance this summer as he joined the Vancouver Canucks on a professional tryout agreement, things turned south after he suffered a blow to his head during a preseason contest back on September 16.

White lost the chance to prove himself as a valuable asset for the Canucks and was released from his PTO, Saturday morning. However, the Boston Bruins have decided to bring the former Canadien in on a PTO, according to Bruins' insider Joe Haggerty.

White said it was weird to wear the black and yellow uniform, but said his father doesn't mind it at all:

White was drafted in the third round of the 2006 NHL draft by Montreal. Since then, he played 313 games in the NHL with the Habs, Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild. He amassed 61 points and 447 penalty minutes.
